Tropical Storm Chantal devastated homes, flooded neighborhoods, and contaminated drinking water across Central North Carolina — and many communities, especially rural and low-income, were left without clear guidance or emergency support.
Now, as state and federal recovery funds begin to flow, we are demanding transparency, equity, and community input in how those resources are distributed. Local leaders must act with the people, not apart from them.
We call for:
✔️ Clean, safe water for every household
✔️ Public updates in multiple languages
✔️ Emergency town halls and mobile water testing
✔️ Prioritization of the most impacted residents: rural, and low-income families

Ahora que los fondos estatales y federales están llegando, exigimos transparencia, equidad y participación comunitaria en la forma en que se distribuyen los recursos. Los líderes locales deben actuar con el pueblo, no separados de él.
